There are thread ceremonies, tonsuring ceremonies, holy dips and ash immersion ceremonies. However, it is at the time of the evening ‘aarti' that the ghats of Har-ki-Pauri command rapt attention from the onlookers. This is Haridwar at its best and not to be missed. The other attractions here include the Chandi Devi Temple , situated atop the Neel Parvat and the eight-storeyed Bharat Mata Temple that towers over the small town. Then there is Shanti Kunj, a spot famous for its Gayatri Temple that houses 24 images of Gayatri and which is close to the Saptarishi Ashram. It is believed that God by the name of 'Hrishikesh' had appeared as answer to the hard penances by Rabhiya Rishi and this is why the place is called Rishikesh. It is the starting point for the ‘Char Dham' pilgrims but is also a place for people who are interested in meditation, yoga and other aspects of Hinduism. The Yoga Centres here have enhanced the significance of this place. Rishikesh is one of the most popular pilgrim centres and a gateway to the Himalayan Shrines of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. Later drive back to Delhi  and check-in at Hotel.
