What is the best time to visit India?
India is a large country, and there are considerable variations in weather across the country. Basically, however, there are three seasons – winter, summer and monsoon. The winter lasts from about October / November to end February, when it begins to warm up for the summer. The hottest months are April and May (The average maximum temperature in Delhi in May is 40° Centigrade). The monsoon reaches different parts of India at different times, but generally July and August are the wetter months, with rain continuing longer in the South. The best time to come to India is between October and March, but due to peak season, prices are high too. To take advantage of better rates trips can be planned between July and September when the weather is not too hot. But we would recommend umbrellas and raincoats.
Is trip insurance included in prices?
We strongly recommend that you purchase your travel insurance in your own country.
